Manuscripta

Manuscripta is de jaarlijkse opening van het boekenseizoen. Ruim 120 auteurs uit binnen- en buitenland waren daarom op 1 en 2 september in Amsterdam aanwezig bij dit feestelijke festijn. De schrijvers werden tijdens het evenement op het terrein van Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek geïnterviewd, lazen voor, signeerden en beantwoordden vragen van lezers. En natuurlijk was ik daar als boekenverslinder, verse inkt ruiker, schrijver in spe en vernuftige biebmiep bij aanwezig én voelde mij helemaal in mijn element.

Zittend in de trein kan ik maar aan één ding denken: dóórlezen. Op mijn schoot ligt het nieuwste boek van Carlos Ruiz Zafón en ik verslind de woorden alsof het hapjes cheesecake zijn. Na De schaduw van de wind en Het spel van de engel laat ik mij in De gevangende van de hemel graag weer meevoeren in de wereld van het Kerkhof der Vergeten Boeken.
