Stiekem kijk ik eens in mijn zus haar agenda om te kijken of mijn verjaardag er wel instaat. Maar ik kom tot de ontdekking dat er nog veel meer instaat, andere verjaardagen, afspraken, uitjes, werktijden. En ik begin me af te vragen waarvoor ik eigenlijk een agenda heb. Ik heb mijn agenda eigenlijk alleen voor de sier. Als opvulling van mijn tas. Een klein, dun roze ding volgeplakt met stickers en onzin. Maar nu is me eindelijk duidelijk geworden wat het nut van een agenda is. Mijn zus vergeet nooit iets, alles staat keurig op een rijtje. Ze hoeft geen dingen te onthouden. Ze hoeft alleen even in haar agenda te kijken. Misschien, heel misschien ga ik vanaf nu ook eens netjes mijn agenda bij te houden. Dat scheelt notities maken midden in de nacht die ik toch niet kan lezen.
