Als redactielid van ‘PlugOut’, van het Noord Hollands Dagblad kreeg ik een mailtje of ik interesse had een concert van de gothic metal band ‘After Forever’ te gaan bezoeken. De meeste mensen zullen misschien wel gruwelen bij dit genre muziek. Ik gruwelde meer van de andere mensen die er rondliepen. Lange haren, stinkend naar zweet, zwarte kleding en make-up en luchtgitaar spelende einzelgangers. After Forever daarentegen speelde erg goed en deed het eentonige voorprogamma in het niet vallen. Ze genoten erg van hun optreden, dat was duidelijk te zien. Helaas waren alle nummers voor mij onbekend maar dat weerhield me er niet van te genieten op mijn anders misschien wel saaie vrijdagavond.
