Afgekloven nagels, rikketikkende vingers op het tafelblad en een trilfunctie in je beenspieren. Een paar bekende zenuwtrekjes waar iedereen wel bekend mee is. Over het laatste kan ik zeer goed meepraten. Zet mij in een stoel en de trilfunctie staat op volle toeren. En ja, mensen hebben er dikwijls last van. Als ik in de schoolbanken zit wordt er vaak vriendelijk verzocht eens stil te gaan zitten, ook onder het eten krijg ik dit vaak te horen. Vaak heb ik het zelf niet eens door. Ik kan gewoon niet stilzitten. Voor mijn omstanders is het misschien vreselijk irritant, voor mij zit er toch een voordeeltje aan, je verbrand er namelijk calorieën mee.

Zou de trilplaat dan uitgevonden zijn door iemand met zenuwslopende trekjes?
