De jonge verpleegster Amy gaat werken in de Mercy Falls Children’s Hospital. Ze merkt al gauw dat er daar iets vreemd aan de hand is. De kinderen zijn nerveus en bang van iets wat de "mechanical girl" wordt genoemd. Amy moet er alles aan doen om de kinderen te beschermen tegen het kwaad…
Het leek me wel een spannende film, kijken dus, vond ik. Ik was wel benieuwd of dit een beetje een originele film zou zijn. Nou ik heb het geweten. Dit past in het ‘oh nee er is een monster in het ziekenhuis blijven hangen en doet eng wat doen we nu’ riitje thuis. Zeer zwakke film dus. Het uiterlijk van het ‘monster’ in de film werkt je op je lachspieren, zo nep. De acteurs (Calista Flockhart, Richard Roxburgh en Yasmin Murphy) leveren wél goed werk, alleen jammer dat het verhaal oh zo slecht is. Laat het downloaden van de film maar zitten. Zonde van je schrijfruimte.
